Dylan attended Merritt Island High School as his older sister Kadie Chavez did, and was in the graduating class of 2012. His first employment was with Publix groceries, to which he expertly transitioned into another career field which was called All Around Landscaping LLC., with his dear friend and Business Partner Dylan Brannon.
Dylan’s passions in life were politics, savings investments and video gaming. Above all interests however, was the unconditional love and passion he had for friends and family.
Dylan is survived by his Mother Pamala Caputo & Step-Father Jimmy Caputo, Father Manny Chavez & Marsha Northcraft, Sister Kadie Chavez & Brother Joshua Nikkel, Grandmother Maria Newlin, maternal Grandfather Richard and wife Helen Dickinson. He was especially fond of his dog Charlie Cheeseburger and several bereaved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and all friends to which Dylan considered Family; Dylan Brannon, Douglas Brannon, Ryan Gunn and the entire Gunn family. Special mention for surrogate mother Karen Gunn-Bardot and surrogate parents Tommy and Kristi Mason, sons Shane and Connor Mason. For the family passed, Dylan is preceded in death by maternal Grandmother Dianna Dickinson and Paternal Grandfather Russell Newlin.
Funeral proceedings and observance for Dylan Scott Chavez will take place on Thursday, April 25th at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00, with Catholic service by Father Martin Gerber of Divine Mercy at 2:00. The floor will be open following the service if anyone would like to share personal messages in memoriam of Dylan. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will be held at 1415 Eel Ave, Merritt Island, FL.
