Edith Forbes, 74, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2011. She graduated from Chicod High School, NC (class of 54), and attended East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.
She was the wife of C.D. Forbes, mother of Doug Forbes, daughter of Ola and Ada Porter, sister of Ola Porter (Jean), Sam Porter (Margaret), Mary Louise Jones (Troy), and aunt to several nephews and nieces.
A wake will be held from 5PM to 7PM Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. Service and burial will be in Robersonville, NC and Biggs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements in NC.
