Elizabeth Anne “Annie” Ritz

March 20, 1936 – August 13, 2025

Elizabeth Anne Ritz, affectionately known to all as “Annie,” passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, in Cocoa Beach, Florida, at the age of 89.

Born in Bristol, Virginia, and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia, Annie and her siblings spent their early years at St. John’s Home for Children. Those experiences shaped her into a woman of deep compassion, resilience, and warmth.

Annie made her home in Cocoa Beach, where she built a life surrounded by friends who became like family. They looked out for her, shared laughter, and enjoyed countless meals together at her favorite restaurants—Long Doggers, Brano’s Italian Grill, and Florida Seafood Bar & Grill.

She is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Frye of Ohio, and is reunited in heaven with her brother, Jim Booth, and sister, Barbara Blanchard. Annie will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle humor, and the way she made everyone feel welcome.

A memorial service will be held at Church of Our Saviour 5301 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, FL on September 2, 2025 at 10am in The Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Our Saviour Catholic School in Annie’s memory.
