A lifelong Educator and Guidance Counselor Mrs. Hollowell is survived by Bob, her high school and college sweetheart, and husband of 56 years. She is also survived by her four children, Sue Falcioni (Steve), Bob, Cindi Vetsch (Leon), and Dan (Heidi), 8 grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.
She and her husband crisscrossed the country with four small children as Bob accepted missile assignments in Long Island, NY, Norfolk, VA, Lewistown, MT, and Cheyenne, WY before landing in Merritt Island, Florida in 1965.
While her children were still in grammar school she returned to her own education earning degrees at Rollins College and Stetson University culminating with a Masters in Elementary Guidance. She worked the majority of her tenure at Tropical Elementary on Merritt Island, first as a classroom teacher and later as the Guidance Counselor and Academic Specialist. Even after retirement, she would frequently return to substitute teach or help administer the state FCAT exam.
Her legacy stretches far beyond her immediate family. She was a member and senior reagent of the Merritt Island Women of the Moose, Phi Beta Kappa professional fraternity, and an officer of the Merritt Island Women's Club.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held 10:30AM, Saturday January 12, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island followed by a reception at the Merritt Island Moose Lodge.
