Merritt Island, FL
Ethan Hall May, 62, a chef at Charley's, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home in Merritt Island. Mr. May was born in Yeadon, PA and came to Brevard County in 1956. Ethan had a love of life and a sense of humor that was contagious. He could light up a room and brighten up the day just with his jokes. If you were in a bad mood, you would not be if he crossed your path. He was always the life of the party. No matter where he went he always seemed to leave a little laughter and happiness when he left. Even through his illness he was upbeat, funny and always turned our tears of sadness into laughter and smiles. That's what made him incredibly unique and one of a kind. On top of having a sense of humor he had a loving heart he took care of his wife for many years who passed away too soon from diabetes. He then moved back to FL to live with his father and cared for him until he passed away as well. Such a wonderful man loved by many. Until we meet again......
Predeceased by his loving wife Kim, and his parents, Alfred and Mable May. Survivors include brother, Eric May (Nancy) of GA, sister; Marcia Broughton (Barry) of Cocoa; nieces, Shannon Sweeney (Steven) of Titusville, FL; Brandi Broughton (Imad) of Tampa, FL and great nephews, Andrew and Logan Sweeney.
