Frances Ann Ellison (née Adams)
January 13, 1945 – August 31, 2026
With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, lay religious, and friend, Frances Ann Ellison, who entered into eternal life on August 31, 2026, in Merritt Island, Florida, at the age of 81.
Frances was a woman of extraordinary faith, unwavering devotion, boundless generosity, and remarkable strength. Above all else, she loved God and her family. Her children, grandchildren, and extended family were the treasures of her heart, and she dedicated her life to nurturing, encouraging, and praying for those she loved. Her family was her greatest earthly joy, and she never missed an opportunity to share her love, wisdom, and guidance with them.
Before dedicating herself fully to religious work, Frances enjoyed a distinguished 25-year career at Kennedy Space Center, where she contributed to America's Shuttle Space Program during an exciting era of exploration and achievement. Her commitment to excellence, strong work ethic, and determination were evident throughout her professional life and inspired all who knew her.
Following the death of her beloved husband, Mickey Charles Ellison, in 1993, Frances answered a higher calling and devoted her life entirely to God. As a Catholic religous and devoted member of the Luisa Piccarreta Center for the Divine Will, she spent decades sharing the spirituality of living in the Divine Will and spreading Christ's message of love and hope wherever she traveled.
Her Catholic religious journey led her around the world. Frances lived in Garabandal, Spain, for eight blessed years and returned yearly, where she became an integral part of the local spiritual community. During that time, she helped build and establish the House of Sanctification, lovingly overseeing its development, furnishing the home, welcoming pilgrims, and serving as its dedicated Directress going on pilgrimage after pilgrimage to teach and see the beautiful religious sites all over Spain. The House of Sanctification became a place of prayer, peace, and spiritual renewal for countless visitors because of her tireless efforts, leadership, and loving attention to every detail.
Frances held a special love for both the House of Sanctification and the Luisa Piccarreta Center for the Divine Will, considering them extensions of her own home and family. She poured her heart and soul into these ministries, touching countless lives through her hospitality, prayers, counsel, and example of faithful living for people all over the world.
Those who knew Ann will remember her joyful spirit, compassionate heart, funloving ways and her favorite expression: "Fiat" — "As God wills it." These words were not merely something she said; they were the guiding principle of her life. Through every joy and every trial, Ann embraced God's will with remarkable trust and peace.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mickey Charles Ellison, on October 15, 1993, and her son, Paul Bryant Ellison, on November 11, 2024.
She is survived by her loving children, Mickey Charles Ellison & wife Soraya, Gewin Perry Ellison & wife Charol, Ann Jeanette Miner-Cottle & husband Aaron; her cherished grandchildren Nate & Jeanette Duffy Cali, Kai and Vaeda , Rachel & Eddie Cox III and Eddie IV, Jonathan & Olivia Vazquez Cameran, Jonathan, Lily and Declan, Katie Ellison and Christopher Lemos, Garret S Miner II & Dr Katie Wehrer, Elizabeth & Freddy Distasio Florence O. and Lennon A., Gabrielle & Mason Bryant, Matthew Cottle & Brigette, Cameron, Joseph Cottle, Andrew Cottle and Serenity Cottle; her dear sister, Nena Robinson; her brother, Robert & Irene Adams; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, fellow religious, and spiritual children throughout the world who were blessed by her presence.
Frances leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, sacrifice, and unconditional love. She traveled the world, built communities of prayer, welcomed strangers as family, and devoted her life to bringing souls closer to God through the Divine Will. Though our hearts ache from her absence, we rejoice in knowing that she has heard the words she longed for her entire life:
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Rest in peace, Mom. Your love, faith, and example will live on in all who knew you. You were deeply loved, will be profoundly missed, and will never be forgotten.
Fiat.
