Frank D. Winderweedle

He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Harriett (Jordan) Winderweedle, mother Pearl Winderweedle, father William Winderweedle Sr., brother William Winderweedle Jr., and many, many family and friends too numerous to list.

He is survived by wife Patricia Winderweedle, sons: David Winderweedle and Greg (Maxine) Winderweedle, daughter Dianne Cotney-Winderweedle, step-daughters: Lisa (Michael) Garrett and April (Joey) Harris, step-son Lewis T. Hamby Jr., 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Frank was founder and owner of Winderweedle Insurance Agency located on Merritt Island for 44 years. He was a kind, caring husband and father who loved his family dearly. His second love was golf; he played on golf courses all around the US and Europe. He loved to fish and shrimp, creating his own delicious beer batter which was loved by all. He and his first wife traveled throughout Europe, Mexico, and Canada, as well as many other locations.

From 1951-1954 Frank served in the Army and was stationed in Germany as a cook, where he developed his love for travel, visiting as many countries as possible. He enjoyed a quiet life, taking care of his 5 acres on his John Deere tractor up until the end. He was a man who loved life’s adventures, family, and friends, but most of all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N. Courtney PKWY, Merritt Island, FL 32953, followed by a graveside service. Visitation is 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Friday, July 23, 2021 with his Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00.
