Franklin E. Darling

Franklin was born in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Franklin was a member of First Baptist Church of Cocoa.

He was the former owner of Darling Nursery in Washington Court House, Ohio.

Franklin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patsy Darling; daughters Pamela Aleshire (Gary) of Indian Lake, Ohio; Ima Darling Armitstead (John) of Ft. Myers, Florida; Cheri McDaniel of Largo, Florida; and Rebecca Baxter of Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren Trina White (Shawn), Melinda Holbrook (Mark), Tony Franklin McDaniel, Jesse Jones, Jaclyn Hayden (Travis), Jonathan Franklin Armitstead, Madison Baxter, Alison Baxter; 6 great grandchildren.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Winifred Pyle Darling; three sisters; and two brothers.

Franklin’s family was his life.

Calling hours are 6:00- 8:00 pm Monday March 17, 2014 at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home. Services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday March 18, 2014 at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
