Irvin Lonnie Wietgrefe Merritt Island

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Irvin Lonnie Wietgrefe, age 71, of Merritt Island, Florida died on February 1, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Anne, daughters, Karen Wietgrefe of Merritt Island, Susan Wietgrefe Coufman (Kevin) of Cocoa, son, Stephen Wietgrefe (Janeen), grandsons, Evan and Colin of Pembroke Pines and sisters, Joanne Wayrynen and Lorraine Benthin and their families of Watertown, South Dakota. Irvin worked in the space program from 1964 until retirement. He enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting and the outdoors.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 @ 3:00pm located at Faith Lutheran Church, 280 E. Merritt Av., Merritt Island, FL 32952.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or VITAS Hospice.

How glorious these passed few days must be for of any illness and resting in the Lord's precious arms. I remember Irvin as a kind and thoughful person. When he would come to Watertown, SD he would always make a point of visiting my mom, Babe Young. He was one of the good guys.
