James “Jim” Alfredo Sargent passed away on June 4, 2021 at the age of 58 years. Jim was born on July 5, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee to James Larry Sargent and Maria Spiri. He graduated from Merritt Island High School (1980) and continued his education at Northern Virginia Community College. His extensive career as manager and leader at retail stores include Safeway, Shoppers, Giant, and Hobby Lobby.
He loved boating and fishing on Merritt Island where he lived most of his life. He was an avid hockey fan and always rooted for his favorite teams – Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning. He had a huge heart, always putting others ahead of himself, and even cared for lost and stray animals at his home.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Michelle, his sons James Tyler and David Hunter Sargent, and his brother Royce “Sam” Sargent. Jim will also be forever remembered by his extended family and dear friends.
