Jewell will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, William and her children, Stanley and Sandy (David) Dawson. Jewell will also be forever remembered by her two grandchildren, Alexander (Kristina) Dawson and Samantha Dawson, and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Jewell was predeceased by her oldest son, Wayne Schick.
Jewell’s career as an Administrative Assistant spanned several decades and included companies like TWA, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Lockheed Space Operations/United Space Alliance. In her later years, Jewell realized her passion for traveling. Along with her husband she completed 17 international trips which encompassed every continent in the world. She was also an avid bridge player. For many years, she was the treasurer of the Merritt Island Veterans Memorial Center bridge club.
Jewell was known for her generosity towards others, quick wit, and congeniality. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and her memory will live on through her family and friends.
Jewell's celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 6th with a visitation from 2pm - 3pm and memorial service beginning at 3pm at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home on Merritt Island. For those who are not able to attend, the memorial service will be livestreamed beginning at approximately 2:50pm.
