It's 2am almost 2 weeks later and I'm finally writing this. I'm gping to visit my
own father this weekend. I will hug him longer, stronger, and pay more attention to his little idiosyncrasies. I am so thankful to not only have grown up with an amazing Dad, but to also have had a second Dad in Jim Beattie. Every visit growing up and every visit in my adult life to the Beattie household was one of happiness, hugs, funny stories, and many lengthy discussions (whether I wanted yo participate or not lol). I always missed my best friend between visits, but I also missed my chats amd hugs from Dad #2 and Mom #2. Jim and Elaine both always gave an honest and open-minded opinion to whatever I was experiencing. I will miss those comfortimg hugs, conversations, and the silliness from Jim. I know it all lives on in Glenda and in the entire family. Elaine/Mom #2, you and Jim are a love like no other. Best friends never fade and know that he will always live on in your heart and his joyful spirit can be seen daily in all of you. 💗
Thank you, Jim, for all the smiles.

I'm still at a loss for words but I will never forget the immense impact you had on my life! From teaching me that I can work on just about anything and how to, down to the conversations we had about life in general and how to go on about life with a more positive outlook. You will forever remain one of my role models! I don't ever recall a time where I saw him without a smile on his face and a great attitude. I remember spending so many summer days and holiday weekends swimming at the old house growing up. He could instantly brighten up my day no matter the mood with just a mere "Hey old man". You will be greatly missed but forever loved in our hearts. Love you Uncle Jim!! 💔

Dear Beattie Family,
I’ve have no words at this deepest time of sorrow. We can never be prepared for this as it seems just yesterday ‘Dad’ was getting us out of our mischieve at Four Seasons. My heart burns with love for all of you.
