She was a resident of Palm Cottages of Rockledge. Joyce was a member of Faith Lutheran Church LeHigh Acres, FL. She was born August 31, 1928 in Richmond Township, IL to William C. and Belle (Cairns) Schultz. Joyce was second youngest of 7 children.
She was married to Richard Lindig who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Jean Burgess, Minnie Packer, and Elsie Williams; and by three brothers, Charles, Earl, and George Schultz.
Joyce is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Schultz of Richmond, IL and Lorraine Schultz of Rockledge, FL; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Joyce attended Solon Mills, IL Grade School and Richmond-Burton Community High School in Richmond, IL graduating in 1946. Just out of high school she went to work at Onsrud Cutter Machine Company in Libertyville, IL retiring after 38 years. After marrying Richard (Dick) Lindig they resided in Mundelein, IL. She moved to Grayslake, IL after Dick's death and then to LeHigh Acres, FL. She recently moved to Rockledge, FL to be closer to family. Joyce enjoyed knitting, watching parades during the holidays, working puzzles, gardening, and loved every one of her dogs over the years.
There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1320 Dean St., Woodstock, IL with Rev. Rob Kinnear officiating. A luncheon will be served at the church after the service. Inurnment will be in the Rose Garden at Faith Lutheran Church, 705 Leeland Heights Blvd. E, LeHigh Acres, FL on Sunday, November 18, at 11:15 AM.
