

Kenneth E. Riley, Sr., 87, of Melbourne, FL passed away Friday, January 15, 2016. Born in Clarksburg, WV, Ken attended grade school in Philippi, WV, Belington, WV, East Liverpool, OH, Midland, OH and graduated 8th grade in Ohio View, PA. He attended high school in Buckhannon, WV, Coalton, WV, Baltimore, MD, and graduated from Akron East High School in June 1947. He furthered his education while attending Kent State University.
He married the love of his life, Doris Mae Walter on December 19, 1947 and later they had two children, Pamela and Kenneth. He became a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Akron, OH in1948. He served many years as a teacher, Deacon, Elder, and Superintendent.
Ken was drafted in the U.S. Army in September 1953 and served for two years in active duty followed by time in the inactive reserve until Honorably Discharged in August 1961.
Ken worked for the America District Telegraph, Inc. from 1947-1961 as an installer, City of Cuyahoga Falls, OH from 1960-1967 in the utility billing department, and made his career working for Goodyear Aerospace(Loral) from 1967-1988 where he retired as Manager overseeing the product planning and information services in braking systems.
Ken is also a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed golf at the Indian River Colony Club.
Ken is survived by his wife, Doris; two children: Pamela Cunningham (Tim) and Kenneth E. Riley (Pam); 3 grandchildren: Justin, Katie, and Christopher; and 3 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life service for Ken Riley on Tuesday, January 26, 2:30 PM at Colony Hall in Indian River Colony Club in Viera.
