Lee Douglas Talbott Jr.

He was born in Lee County on January 10, 1951 to Lee Douglas Talbott, Sr. and the late H. Blanche Poindexter Talbott. Doug was a 32-year volunteer of the Deep River Fire Department. For many years, he enjoyed a career in construction.

Surviving relatives include his father, Lee D. Talbott, Sr. of Merritt Island, FL; one sister, Caroline T. Sizemore of Merritt Island, FL; brother, John Talbott and wife, Beverly of Omaha, Nebraska; three aunts, Lena Calcutt of Merritt Island, FL, Barbara Talbott and Carolyn Talbott both of Sanford; one uncle, James “Bill” Calcutt of Merritt Island, FL; great-aunt Naomi Emerson of Eden, NC; one nephew; four nieces; three great-nieces and four great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford, NC, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Zion Christian Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
