Linda M. Smith

Linda M. Smith, age 78, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Rockledge, Florida. She was born in Clayton, New Mexico and came to Brevard County in May 2021 from Bartlett, Tennessee. She worked in the Shelby County School System as a Library Assistant for 12 years.

Linda is survived by her husband Lewis “Ed” Smith, Jr., daughter Tamara “Tammy” (John) Schultz, sisters Jean (Dean) Gleghorn and Lois (Corbet) Passmore, and brother Roy Morris. She is preceded by her parents, Earl and Cleo Morris, and brothers Jack (Marilyn) Morris and Gordon (Barbara) Morris.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach, 3300 N. Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, Florida, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 AM. All are invited to a luncheon reception after the service.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 89 Mt Carmel Rd, Cabot, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Linda to First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach to support the Children’s and Youth Ministries or a charity of your choice.
