Marshall Allen Stormes, 87, of Cocoa, FL died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Born in Jacksonville, FL and then moved to the Cocoa area in 1968. University of Florida Graduate c/o 1951, Sigma Nu Epsilon Zeta fraternity. He was an avid fisherman, member of the American Power Boat Association, and race boat owner for many years. Retired from Mid-Florida Freezers in Port Canaveral. Loving husband of Nancy Stormes, beloved father of Sheryl (Bob) Silverio, Dan (Barbara) Silverio, Deborah (Rick) Hitchcock, close brother to four siblings (Jean Stormes, sole surviving), grandfather of eight, great-grandfather of seven, and faithful canine companion, Sheba. Viewing at Wylie Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home, Saturday, September 20, 4 - 6 p.m. Service to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations toward the Wounded Warrior Project.
