My love and condolences to Gayle, Anthony, Sidney and the entire family. Mike supported me and the Cocoa High Band in so many ways and I will forever remember his kind, generous, and willing heart. He encouraged me when I was discouraged . He cared about all the band students and was always ready to support a child in need. I will always remember and appreciate him.

Grandpa, there are so many things I want to say. The words have rattled around in my brain for over a week, trying to make sense of them and put them down in a way that honors you. I've thought of so many memories, all the times you've made me laugh, the kindness and wisdom you poured over me in the last 12 years and I want to tell them all but it would take all day. You were a role model to me in so many ways- in life, in work, in your marriage to Grandma Gayle, in parenting and grandparenting. Always pushing me to strive for greatness. I'll always remember the summer day we spent the whole day in the kitchen together making our own Chinese food and how gooey the wontons were cause I didn't squeeze the liquid from the filling before putting it in. You just laughed, ate them anyway and said lesson learned! There is a grandpa-sized hole in my heart, and you were a big guy so it's a pretty big hole! It's so hard to walk into your house and know you aren't there waiting in your chair to say "Hey Mama! Hey my Rugrat!" You called me Legal until I became a mother, then it was always Mama. It suited us both so well, Legal was just a placeholder until my true nickname came to be. I will miss you forever, but I know you're watching down on me and your Rugrat and that you'll be waiting up there for me, right beside my Mom-mom, to wrap me in your massive hug the day I go to Heaven. I'll see you later my great friend. I love you forever.

Oh bro you are so very very missed.  We weren't siblings by birth but you didn't have a sister and I didn't have an older brother so rather than call you cuz it was bro.  There are so many fond memories.  We had such wonderful times  together at family gatherings , cruises and especially our dinners followed by a hot game of Phase 10   with you, Gayle, Aunt Mary, Ron and I. You loved my pineapple upside down cake and I so enjoyed making it for you.  I will miss your hugs bro but know you are enjoying your reunion with Uncle Mike, Carl and Koby. Love you forever!   Until we are all together again! Sis

He who loved me
And whom I loved
Said I was beautiful
And brought him happiness
So I could be , or do, no less

Love, Gayle, your BW (beautiful wife)

Although Grandma and Grandpa are not my grandparents by birthright, they are still my grandparents just the same. They opened their arms and hearts to my sister and I when we were both in need of the unconditional love that radiated from their household. They supported us through so many highs and more than a fair share of lows. Grandpa took me to work before I could drive. Grandpa took me to get my learner's permit and told me he'd give me a lollipop if I passed or if I failed. Grandpa drove me to physical therapy two days a week after my knee surgery when I was so down in the dumps. He always encouraged me to keep going back or I'd be a gimp forever (haha). He and Grandma both always pushed us to be better. He's still pushing us. I miss you so much Grandpa. You were such a blessing to all of us. I love you.

Uncle Mike always told me, “People either love me or hate me!” That was because he always spoke his mind, good or bad. I am sure I would have to search far and wide to find someone who felt the latter. He was the caretaker of his family, and they were his life. He was so proud of his grandkids!! Anthony and Sidney, I hope you know how much he loved you!

We had special names for each other. I would call him “Favorite Uncle”, and he would call me “nice niece”. I remember being terrified of him when I was younger; he was a big man with a big mustache!!! I am so grateful for the relationship we developed over the years.

Till we meet again,
Nice Niece
