Millie Weir

She was born Sept 27, 1926 in Chicago, Ill., to the late William and Nema Filchak of Clinton, Ind. She spent the last 42 years in the Cocoa and Cocoa Beach areas of the Space Coast in Florida.

Mrs. Weir and her husband Albert Weir moved to Cocoa Beach in 1971 from Rockford, Ill.. The couple wed in 1950. Mr. Weir passed away in 1986.

Mrs. Weir enjoyed spending time with family and close friends, and was an avid reader, crossword puzzler and gardener.

Her warm, caring and loving spirit will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

Mrs. Weir is survived by her youngest brother Guy “Finny” Filchak of Clinton, Ind.; her son Tim Weir and his wife Mary Kay, of Indianapolis, Ind., and their son Dustin Weir of Indianapolis; her daughter Holly McDonald and her partner Walt Munly of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; her daughter Jenifer Tamman and her husband Maurice of Jersey City, NJ and their children Holen Tamman of Atlanta, Ga., Elyjah Tamman of Jersey City, and Atticus Tamman of Orlando, Fla. Mrs. Weir was preceded in death by her grandson Sean McDonald in 2005.

Services will be held at the Frist Funeral Home in Clinton, Ind. on April 27 from noon to 2:00 pm. The interment will follow at Clinton’s Walnut Grove Cemetery.
