

Mitchell Lee Crawford was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 21, 1954 to the late James Alexander Crawford and his wife the late Louise Loretta Crawford. Mitchell was the third of three children, Barbara Randolph (Bobby) and Lester Crawford (Paula). Mitchell received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on August 22, 1954 and the Sacrament of Confirmation on February 16, 1964. In his youth he served as an altar boy and was a member of the areas Boy Scouts. Completing elementary school and Vocational Technical School, Mitch being smart, inquisitive, and adventurous; participated in various church functions, sports, and community activities.
Mitch enjoyed working with his hands, creating and repairing electrical items. He decided to enter the Air Force in Sept, 1972, holding positions of Missile Maintenance Technician and Television System Technician. He received numerous service medals, ribbons, awards, and commendations. Having served over 20 Years, Mitchell retired at the rank of E-7 Msgt, in Dec 1992. Beside electronics, other hobbies included woodworking, collecting miniatures, animated figures, and collectible comics. Don’t forget he loved his gym workouts and equipment.
Retirement found Mitchell choosing to continue his education, He attended and graduated from ITT Tech Institute, majoring in Electronic Engineering Technology, receiving an Associates in Applied Science,1995. Mitch spent many years working in several local area technological companies to include AT&T and Comcast.
Following two previous marriages (Joanie; Mykel); Mitchell met and married Edith Ambrister, October 1991. This was the beginning of ‘Life - the final frontier; its 32-year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.’ Unconditional Love, support, dedication, acceptance, traditional and blended is how you define Mitchell and family.
