Phil Lambson, 97, of Merritt Island, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Born to Ephraim and Maybelle Lambson in Central, Arizona, Phil moved to Merritt Island in 1965 to work for Kennedy Space Center. He served honorably during WWII and the Korean War in the United States Air Force. Phil worked for NASA as an accountant until 1980 when he retired.
Phil was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served faithfully. Phil loved sports and could play (and win!) at just about any sport. He was on a bowling league for many years. He was always happy and enjoyed dancing and singing. He also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Phil was preceded in death by two children: Dennis Lambson and Janet Schnepf. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Hazel Rozena Lambson; son, Philip Arden Lambson; daughters: Marsha Pyle (Lance), Anita Lambson; Sherry Lambson Eisele (Frank); Presha Lambson Knight (Steve); sister, Ardith Yost; 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1801 S. Fiske Blvd. Rockledge, FL on Saturday, December 29, 2018 with visitation from 10-11AM and service to begin at 11AM. He will be interred at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11AM.
