In his youth, Ralph loved playing the trumpet. While still in high school, he played in dance bands at local clubs to help support his family. His talent eventually led him to play in Carnegie Hall! After being drafted into the Air Force in WWII, Ralph moved to Florida and became a prominent figure in the community, working his way up at Rinker Materials until he became President of the company before retiring to raise his two young girls. He was a proud Rotarian, a member of Cocoa Beach Community Church, a board member at Cape Canaveral Hospital and an investor in many different real estate projects.
Ralph will always be remembered for his love and joy for his family, his empathy towards everyone he met, his giving spirit, sparkling wit, sense of humor, keen business sense, strong will, and his smile. His spirit lives on in his two loving daughters, Ashley Leighty (husband Nick), and Jackie Dunning, and his 4 grandchildren, Alexis, Spencer, Jillian, and Clinton.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude towards Lerech Malave and her special angels, whose exceptional love and care for him in his final years can never be repaid and will never be forgotten.
Arrangements under the direction of Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, Merritt Island, FL.
