February 24, 1951 - February 16, 2021
Dan Wuchte was welcomed into Heaven on February 16, 2021 at 69 years of age.
He was born in Durham, North Carolina and later moved to Brevard county. He lived his life dedicated to serving his communities through law enforcement for over 40 years.
He is preceded to Heaven by his parents, Richard and Lizzette Wuchte, and his previous wife Susan Wuchte. He is survived by his siblings, Trisha Wuchte Young, Denise Wuchte Williams, and Mark Wuchte; nieces and nephews Richard & Erika, Danielle & Steven, and Ty, Major, Clara, Aiden, and Wolfe.
He is also survived by his wife, Donna Mahan Wuchte, whom he loved devotedly and regarded as his later-in-life fairy tale. Grateful tribute is further given by Donna’s children, David & Rachael, Kristin, Jonathan & Tiffany, and Austin & Kailey. Dan immensely enjoyed being a grandfather to his thirteen grandchildren: Jayden, Josiah, Jonathan, Aiden, Taylor, Dawson, Aria, Lexi, Hadley, Claire, Maggie, Grace, and Esme.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Mayo Clinic’s heart transplant research division. Kindly mark “other” designation and enter “Heart Transplant Research-FL.” Donna and Dan were very grateful for Mayo's efforts which provided them with several more months together.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in their assistance with honoring Dan’s dedication to his law enforcement career.
Due to COVID-19, in-person services will be conducted for close family. However, the service will be Live-Streamed on Monday, March 1, at 2:00 pm for those wishing to attend virtually.
