Shirley Birkhead Pierce, 94, born in Pennington, NJ on May 17, 1921, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. She was the mother of three daughters: the late Patricia Weiner of Freeport, ME, Kathleen Stark of Southport, NC, and Barbara Sittig of Stroudsburg, PA; grandmother of four: Amy Stark, Eric Weiner, Michelle Pottle, and Joshua Sittig; great-grandmother of two: Amy Babbit and Allyson Pottle; and great-great grandmother of Logan Leaman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, William Birkhead.
Golf, Bridge, and her many friends made her life full. There will be no service. The family will greet friends at Rockledge Country Club on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 2-4PM.
Wylie-Baxley is in charge of arrangements for cremation.
