He worked at NASA, Ohio Gear, and Regal Rexnord before founding his own successful enterprise, Aero-Industrial Sales. His work supported a wide range of sectors, including military applications, vehicle systems, agriculture, food equipment, bridge management, mining, and aerospace engineering. The Meldeau family acknowledges NASA for its role in inspiring and shaping Jim Meldeau's contributions to the aerospace business.
Throughout his career, Jim Meldeau rose from sales roles to company management, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Jim Meldeau is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Kathleen Oliver Meldeau of Merritt Island, his two sons, James Scott Meldeau (Pamelyn Laura Meldeau) of Chicago and Ian Thomas Meldeau (Amy Johnson Meldeau) of Merritt Island and his two brothers Michael Meldeau and Anthony Meldeau. He was a proud grandfather to Austin Thomas Meldeau and Sarah Avery Meldeau, and to Emma Meldeau and Owen Meldeau.
Jim Meldeau's resilience, integrity, and dedication leave a lasting legacy in both his professional and personal life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private family service will be held to honor his memory.
