Thelma “Louise” Gerlach, 81 passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at her home. She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn and came to Brevard County in 1957. Thelma retired from McGregor Warner at KSC. She was a recipient of the “Manned Flight Awarness Award” and a member of IATSE union. She volunteered at Cape Canaveral Hospital, meals on wheels, and first United Methodist Church of Cocoa.
Survivors include her sons David E (Carol) Gerlach and Richard M. (Janet) Gerlach, grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Skorzewski, Justin (Alyson) Gerlach, Kara (Rich) Mehalick, great-grandchildren, Chase and Cole Mehalick and Zoe and Rory Gerlach and brothers Allen (Francis) Snyder and Jerry Snyder.
Family will receive friends on Thursday September 6, 2012 from 12 noon- 1 PM followed by funeral services at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Cocoa, FL
Burial will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.
