Merritt Island
Thomas E. Daignault passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2102 at the age of 49 after losing his battle with cancer. Tom was able to spend his final days in his parents' home with his beloved service dog Owen. He was in the greatly-appreciated care of the Hospice of St. Francis, and was surrounded by family and dear friends in his final moments.
Tom was born in St. Albans, VT and moved with his family to Merritt Island in 1966 at the age of 3. He was well known for his charm, his intelligence and his artistic ability. He applied those talents to a career as an architectural designer. Tom endured hardships in his life with his own unique blend of strength and humor. He always strived to find ways to create a positive message and legacy. We hope that legacy exists in the memories his family and friends have of him.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27th at Divine Mercy, 1940 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, with a "Celebration of Life" reception and luncheon immediately following in the Golden Dome. Friends and family are welcome and are encouraged to share their memories.
Tom is survived by his parents, John and Pat Daignault; his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Gena Daignault; his brother and girlfriend, Jeff Daignault and Denise Theders; his sister and brother-in-law, Christine Daignault-Taylor and Barry Taylor; his sister and brother-in-law, Michelle Daignault-Ives and Robert Ives; and his nieces and nephews, Colette and Cory Daignault, and Bobby, Heather and Amber Ives.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Pl., Titusville, FL 32780, 321-269-4240, the services of which they deeply appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Wylie-Baxley funeral home.
