I met Tom at Dr Pierone's where I am a nurse many years ago. He was always happy and positive and nice to everyone. We loved him and Owen. My dog had to be put down in Jan 2009 and 1 month later there was Tom in our office with a little lab-mix pup, the last of a litter he was trying to place, He brought her because he felt bad leaving her alone in Merritt Island while he drove to Vero. Of course, I fell in love with her and took her home. Thank you Tom for bringing added joy to our lives. It was an honor to know you. May God keep you safe in His arms for all eternity. I only knew Tom a short time but it was obvious from the start he had a beautiful soul. He faced his illness with great faith and strength. He was so fortunate to have family and friends who loved him so.I felt

On behalf of the Space Coast Therapy Dogs Organization, I just want to express our condolences to the family and to Owen, Tom's special canine companion.  Tom and Owen were an awesome therapy dog team and Tom's main purpose for joining SCTD was to spend time with cancer patients and the kids.  Whenever we had a special event, such as "Buddy Walk", the Down Syndrom Foundation fundraiser, Tom would bring a huge bag of toys and make sure as many kids as possible received a toy.  Owen also loved the kids and they loved him.  We marched with Tom and Owen in the Titusville Xmas parade a few years ago and they walked the entire parade route which was about 3 miles.  I know it was not an easy thing for Tom to do, but he did it and smiled and greeted as many kids as possible,  handing out candy the entire parade route.  We miss Tom's uplifting spirit at the nursing homes he visited and will always remember how special he and Owen made the residents feel.  They were a dynamic duo!

I have great memories Tommy from high school in band. He always had a great smile. My prayers and sympathy go to the entire Daignault Family. RIP Tommy.

Tommy and I didn't really hang out much after elementary school.  We reconnected after our 30th high school reunion though, and I am blessed to be his friend.  Through letters, we had many serious talks, as well as goofy talks.  When we visited in March, it was like we'd never been apart.  He has touched my life, and for that I am grateful. I've had the priviledge of knowing Tommy since 5th grade and have always had the most reguard and respect for him. I know that he is at peace now with Christ. To Mr. and Mrs Daignault and family i give you my condolences. He will be genuinly missed and always loved.

I remember all of the times the O'Neills and the Daignault's spent in their garage having parties together. Tommy was always quick with a smile. He had a great sense of adventure, funny and very kind. It will be so difficult for you I know, not to have him in your lives. But know that he touched a lot of people in his time here, and will be missed. Love you all.

Dear Daignault family, 
Tommy was a personal friend of mine. We grew up together on Merritt Island and palyed together as kids at Kiawanis Island Park. Later in time, Tommy and I shot pool together on the Spanky's Pool team. We spent many times together. 

Tommy was always there to have a laugh, tell a joke, and be a good friend. I have so many memories of Tommy,which are all good, funny, wonderful memories. Those will last forever! 

I have worked at Sea Ray for over 25 years. I know the Daignault family (Gena). The Daignault family is well known in this town and contributed much to our community. It is an honor to be friends with them. Our hearts go out to each and everyone of the family members at this time. 

Tommy was such a great perosn, and his friends will miss him. I know I laugh and smile, each time I think of Tommy and the good memories we shared together. May God be with his family in this time of need.

I will always be grateful for the inspiration and comfort he gave my mother years ago when she was facing a leg amputation.  He will always be remembered as a kind and caring man. May God rest his soul, and give his family peace in this difficult time.

Have very fond memories of Tommy throughout our years together in school.  Kind-hearted, funny, charismatic, and smile that lit up his face as well as others.  He will certainly never be forgotten and brought happiness to many.

Tommy was my best friend in high school.  We shared so many times together and I will never forget his spirit and his humor.  We lost touch after a couple years of college and I really missed his company.  He touched so many.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family and friends lementing the loss of a special person.

My heart goes out to the Daignault family and those who knew Tommy.  He always had kind words and a beautiful smile.

Such sweet, fun memories of Tommy. I just keep remembering being in a play with him (2nd grade, I think) where I was Alice (through the looking glass) and he was a tick trying to catch a ride on my pretend dog. He sang, "I'm a tick tick tick, not a tock tock tock, and I see right here by my clock clock clock..." and it was all I could do to keep from laughing. Silly what we remember. My prayers of comfort go to the family. Just know, childhood memories of Tommy will always make me smile.

When I think of Tommy I think of time we shared as having amputations around the same time. We both would see who could come up with the worse joke or the best pickup line using the amputation. My sincere condolences to the family. Tommy was part of the gang growing up even though I lived on Saturn St. The memories I have of some of the stunts make me chuckle.

Met Tommy through The Merritt Island Jaycees, we had a lot of fun thru the years especialy during Haunted House time. Tommy got a kick out of freaking people out with his leg....I'll not go in to specifics here. With his help we did a lot of good for Merritt Island and it's people. Sorry to hear he lost the fight, May God Bless him as well as his family and friends.

We used to raise so much Cain back in the good old days. I know we are responsible for putting a lot of those gray hairs on our parents head. I still chuckle about those carefree days. My memories of Tommy have always been filled with love and devotion.  Tommy was my first love, my first boyfriend, my first date, my first everything.  We met when we both attended Edgewood Jr. High School.  I was in the 9th grade and he was in the 8th.  We were both in the band together.  He used to always tease me and pick on me while we were in the marching band together.  Little did I know that he had a crush on me then.  I remember on our first date, he asked his lovely Mother Pat if she would drive us to dinner and then to a movie.  She did and it was so beautiful.  He treated me just like a gentleman would treat a lady.  He had given me my first ring, a beautiful gold ring with my birthstone in it.  Later he gave me a lovely gold bracelet with a little heart hanging down from it.  My name was on the front and on the back, he had inscribed, "Love always, Tom".  We were just kids back then, but he showed me more love than I had ever known.  The last time I saw Tommy was back in 1983.  I had come back to Merritt Island to visit some friends when I had heard about his first car accident and that he had lost part of his foot.  I had my first child with me then, who was 8 months old at the time.  When I arrived to see him, he told me right off that I looked good.  He then saw my son and asked if he could hold him.  I said yes, and he took him out of my arms.  He sat down on the sofa with him and just looked at him for a minute.  What was interesting was my son did the same thing to Tommy.  They both just sat there looking at each other.  Then Tommy said to him, " You should have been my son.  I loved your mother very much and I probably always will."  I began to cry at that moment.  We both knew that our timing had always been off for the both of us.  But we both knew that we shared a love that would last forever.  Tom Daignault was indeed my first love.  I will always remember our times together and the memories we shared.  To his parents John and Pat, his brothers Greg and Jeff, and his sisters Christine and Michelle, I send my heartfelt sympathies and love to you all.  I can't even imagine how you must feel at this time.  Please know that although Tommy had his problems, he also had something that a lot of people got a chance to see.  His Heart.  He had a huge heart.  I was blessed to have him in my life when I did and I will be forever grateful for being a part of that huge heart for a time.  My deepest condolences to you all.
