Wayne Joseph Donnelly

Wayne Joseph Donnelly, who resided in Merritt Island, Florida was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and teammate to so many. He left this world on Friday, August 6, 2021 following an unexpected heart attack.

Wayne was born to Bob and Marge Donnelly on September 18, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from high school, Wayne started his career in air conditioning & refrigeration and through hard work and dedication, excelled in the field of building automation. He married Sue in 1992 and together, they had 3 wonderful children: Brian, Steven, and Alex.

During Wayne’s 57 years, he lived life to the fullest. He was a hopelessly devoted Philadelphia sports fan (poor guy), a sports car enthusiast and collector (like you wouldn’t believe), and had a huge soft spot for animals of all kinds. In his earlier days, he spent most of his time in a hockey rink or on a softball field. In recent years, he loved boating on the intercoastal waterways in Florida, enjoying local restaurants, and watching launches from the Kennedy Space Center. He adored his family and friends along with the countless dogs, horses, and fish that passed through our lives. Wayne was a great, down to earth guy who will be dearly missed.

Services are being planned in Pennsylvania and Florida. Details will be shared when the plans have been finalized.
