I got to know Bop only during the last three or four years of his life but did have the opportunity to sing and play guitar for him which he seemed to enjoy. Bop was an old fashioned gentleman the likes of which have become all to rare in the modern era.

God speed Bop.

Karen and I wish you all the joy of wonderful memories of your father and grandfather. To me, he was Cousin Bill, my Dad's first cousin and good buddy as they were growing up. He showed me around Metairie at Thanksgiving in 1974 and was always such a kind, soft spoken and nice person. I heard stories of tennis, with Dick, Bill, and my father and also of working in the Allen fruit company. Growing up I remember many visits to Salisbury visiting with Aunt ReRe and Uncle Albert. The last visit was in 1973 when the Allen clan, Dick and Nancy, filled me up with turkey before I headed back to Atlanta after a brief visit to Laurel, Delaware and Salisbury. We are very sorry to learn of Cousin Bill's passing. Allen and Karen Hirons

“Bop” was a dear soul, intelligent conversationalist, and witty sweetheart. I got to know him well over the past 22 years, and enjoyed all of my moments in his company. Whether bantering about the news of the day, playing crossword puzzles, or enjoying a glass of wine, his flirty attention made him all the much more a dear. I’ll miss him much... God bless, and Rest In Peace old chap. Love you, Lisa

Deep felt condolences Tracey. Your dad’s life is inspiring. He played tennis and enjoyed ballroom dancing: two of my faves. He had a rich life and a fine family: plus 7 grandchildren to continue his legacy. You must be very proud of him.
