Mrs. Bateman was born in Newark, NJ on August 11, 1917. She came to Brevard County in 1976 from Orange, Connecticut with her husband.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Cocoa, a Life member of O.E.S., Saco, Maine, Brevard Genealogical Society, Women of the Moose, Florida Native Plant Society, a member of SSWD Church of Our Savior, Cocoa Beach, and for many years she sang with Space Coast Chapter Sweet Adelines, and was a member of Cape Canaveral Hospital Auxilliary.
Survivors include sons: James F. Bateman of Clearwater, William H. Bateman of Maryland, Robert E. Bateman of Orange, Connecticut; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
