Agnes M. Carreiro passed into eternal life on July 19th at Brookdale North Mesa, AZ, surrounded by multi generations of her loving family. Her passing was in Hospice Care of the West, assisted by her wonderful caregivers of Brookdale.
Agnes was born on December 22nd, 1923 to the late John and Mary (Viera) Araujo. Our parents were married during World War II and were married for 59 years. Our dad, Joseph F. Carreiro, preceded her in death and she also suffered the loss of her beloved son, Joseph F. Carreiro Jr. It is impossible to capture in words the impact our mother had on our family and everyone who was privileged to know her. She was the essence of light and love, her faith guided her throughout her life and her family was her joy.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Elliott of Mesa, AZ and her sons Robert A. Carreiro of Fairhaven, MA and Eric Paul Carreiro of Buda, TX. She also leaves four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Her life will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa on Monday, July 24th at 10:00 AM. Funeral services will be private.
