Allan Dorsey Chapman was born on August 15, 1950, and passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 75. He spent his early years moving through various cities across the United States with his parents and three sisters; Roswell, New Mexico and Atlanta, Georgia to name a few. He served time in the United States Air Force and traveled with his employers. Ultimately, he made Mesa, Arizona his longtime home, a place where he built a life centered around family.
To most, Allan may have seemed like a man of few words, reserved and private. But to his daughters and grandchildren, he was a larger than life with personality, advice and always found ways to make us laugh. A gentle, devoted father and grandfather who lived every day with purpose: to love and support his family with every single thing he had.
Allan found joy his family. Time with him was sacred, full of laughter, connection, and memories that will last a lifetime. He was always there, the one who fixed what was broken, who showed up no matter what, who gave his whole heart, and never asked for anything in return.
He gave generously, not just of his resources, but of himself. Every ounce of his love, every bit of energy he had, went to his daughters and grandchildren. To them, he wasn’t just “Dad” or “Grandpa.” He was safety. He was strength. He was home.
Allan is survived by his daughters, Jessica and Nicki, his grandchildren, Drake, Abigail, Molly, and Lilly, and his great-grandchildren, Archie and Evie.
Though he’s no longer with us, the impact of his love remains, steady and strong, just like he was.
