Angeline Taraborelli (known as Angel to most), passed away at the age of 84 on April 10, 2018. She died in Mesa, Arizona very peacefully and she left this world the way she wanted to go. Angel was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 13, 1933 to John and Rose Venditti. She grew up in Germantown and lived in an Italian community along with her aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family. She attended a Catholic high school and her passion was attending every high school and community dance she could get to. Mom loved to dance! When she was a sophomore, she decided that the nuns were not for her. She took the initiative, at the age of 16, to leave high school and apply for a job at Bell Telephone. She was hired right away as an operator and worked there until she was 22 (a few months before her first child was born). Angel married Rich Taraborelli on Sept. 11, 1954. They spent their honeymoon on the beach in Florida – mom loved the beach! They were married 58 years until her husband passed away on June 16, 2012. Angel and Rich moved to Arizona in 1965 to start a new life, as her husband wanted to start and explore new job opportunities. They resided in Apache Junction where they raised their 6 children; Rich Taraborelli, Jr., Gina Zaremba, John Taraborelli, Dom Taraborelli, Angela Marshall and Rosemary Brocious. Rosemary remembers mom’s excellent taste in the way she dressed – she was always dressed to the “T”. Mom loved to go shopping -- especially to the mall with her. It was one of her favorite things to do. She also took up a hobby in ceramics and painting which she enjoyed very much. Mom was a very busy lady, raising her family. Her day were full in keeping up with the household and cooking and baking for a large family. She loved to entertain the extended family. Sundays were family get-togethers, plenty of food and crazy Italian activity. She kept an immaculate and orderly house and was a wonderful Italian cook. Her passion was cooking and she loved to bake! She baked cakes and cookies endlessly and her pride and joy were the many cookie trays she used to give to people. In their later years, they moved to a retirement community in Mesa. Angel is survived by her two sisters, Rita Vozzo, and Rose Petrelli, her 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rich, a son, Dominic Taraborelli, and a granddaughter, Adrian Taraborelli.
