

Arlene Grayce Powers (Kettle), 84 years of age, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025 at her home in Mesa, Arizona at her husband's side. She was born on November 25, 1940, in Oakland, California. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred Ernest Kettle and Kathyrn Eloise Hansen, and survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Robert Edward Powers of Mesa, Arizona; brothers Lawrence (Virginia), Dean (Cindy); beloved sister Karen (Jim); her daughters Kristen, Stephanie, Jessica; son in law Ryan; grandsons Declan, Brayden, Jasper; granddaughters Chayla, and Avery. One of her greatest joys in life was the abundant time she spent with her grandchildren.
Arlene had various careers and lived in many places. In her early life she was an airline attendant for TWA Airlines, and then opened a restaurant in Lake Placid during the 1980 winter Olympics. She opened three businesses in Tlaquepaque in Sedona and finally settled on her fine jewelry store for 35 years.
In her later years, she was passionate about the missionary work with International Messengers. She worked in various ministries helping and training others to work in Eastern Europe and supporting ministries to advance the kingdom of God. Arlene was a member of Red Mountain Community Church, in Mesa, Arizona. Her favorite scripture was : "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5.
A Celebration of Life Service and dinner will be held in Arlene's honor on November 9th, at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch in Mesa, Arizona at 3 p.m, followed by a BBQ dinner. The ranch address is 13020 N.
