Upon returning from the Pacific Theatre of WW2 he married the love of his life Mary and built her a home in Tempe in which she still resides. After the Army, Arthur worked as a union Pipe Fitter tradesman with the local 469 until he retired. Arthur and Mary have been inseparable for the last 66 years.
Arthur is survived by five children: Arthur Jr., Jorge, David, Jerry and Aurora. Two daughter in-laws, Daleen and Paula. He also leaves behind three sisters; Mary, Lydia and Alida, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Arthur was preceeded in death by his mother and father Pedro and Luz, two brothers Adolfo and Pedro Jr., one sister Margarita and his grandson Eric.
Aside from being tough as nails he was also kind and loving and will be sorely missed. The world lost a great man.
Memorial service held at Melcher Mortuary 8am, Saturday June 4th located at 43 South Stapley Drive Mesa AZ 85204. Interment will follow at City of Mesa Cemetery.
