

Audrey Fjeld, 94, passed away October 20, 2014, in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born November 4, 1919 to A.D. and Annie Picard in Bainville, MT. Audrey graduated from Bainville High School and completed a Graduate Nursing Degree in Williston, ND. She married Benny Fjeld in 1942 in San Francisco, CA and resided in Bainville until his death in 2000. During their years together they enjoyed entertaining family & friends and hosted many dinner parties, including Lutefisk and Lefse. Following retirement, Audrey and Benny traveled and visited many states. Audrey was an active member of the Ladies Altar Society of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and sat on the election board for many years. She was an Award winning AVON representative and an avid gardener also spending many happy hours in her flower beds. She had a wonderful sense of humor and is well remembered for the time she colored the white cat green for St. Patrick’s Day. Her children frequently won contests for the best Halloween costume as Audrey made them all for them each year. Audrey is survived by three children, Richard Fjeld (Pam) of Gilbert, AZ ; Dale Fjeld (Vickie) of Gilbert, AZ and Sharon Miller (Chuck) of Pueblo West, CO. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Rosary was held at Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel in Mesa, AZ October 27,2014 at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa, AZ October 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Services will be held in Bainville, MT at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at a date yet to be announced.
