Austin “Neil” Short was born in Staunton, Virginia on the Sixteenth of December, 1964 to Audrey Mae Siple-Short and Austin Fletcher Short. He graduated from Buffalo Gap High School, and was a member of St. James Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by Father Austin Fletcher Short, and Brother Blaine Carlin Short. He was survived by Mother Audrey Mae Siple-Short, Son Nicholas Short, Daughter Natalie Clark-Short, Granddaughters Savannah, Scarlet, and Ava.
