This was one of Mom’s favorite salads  she made that I loved. So yummy with the mints!

The many mice she killed in her sewing room on the Farm northeast of Kearney.

Being able to cook, sew, do laundry, and  work at a job. All while raising 5 children.

Playing piano for church service in Lexington, NE.  One day young Jayboy walked up to her while she was playing the piano and asked her to tie his shoe. 
                              ________________
The day Mom and I were recording some gospel songs and Trixie who was on the back of the couch started walking down her chest. 
                               The day that the Rhoadarmer’s took a trip to Grandpa and Grandma’s in Colorado.  We had stopped along the road to eat some dinner and a train had gone by with a hotbox.  Mom remembered that you point down with your thumb one one hand and I believe hold your nose with the other hand.  
Anyway(which she was notorious for saying) it worked as the train stopped  and put out the fire with our water.

Her commencement service when she got her G.E.D. from SECC in 1992!   Way to go Mom!!!!!!!!

Being with Mom at the Bryan Hospital the day before Jayboy passed away at age 12. 
Mom asked him if there was any special food that he would like, he replied
             “A McDonald’s cherry 🍒 pie.”
             He did not live to the next day. 


Just within the past year I had asked Mom what kind of products she used on her skin because her’s was so beautiful, 
her reply, “I don’t use any skin products. Just soap and water.”
 Plus it helped that she spent little time in the sun unlike her children who spent hours in the sun at the Kearney pool.
