No words can express the sympathy we feel for the families who have lost their loved ones. Marty was a very nice young man so it comes as no surprise that Barbie was a lovely person as well although we never had the pleasure of meeting her. Hoping time will ease the pain for their families, and they can take comfort in believing they will see them again someday in heaven.

Barbie and I were the "tag team" assigned to do all of the minutes for the Mesa City Council. From the first day I met her, I knew the City Clerk's Office had found "a keeper." Our small staff not only works together seamlessly, but we consider ourselves as an extended family. Barbie fit right in and always kept us in fits of laughter with her stories about the WWE, John Cena vs The Rock and her diagnoses of "the sickness" and "hydraflucous." 

Barbie was a very special woman who loved her family and friends with great devotion. She will be deeply missed and I am so honored that she considered me as her friend.

To Stephanie, Brandon, Deb, Pancho, Michael, Baby Jake and the soon-to-be baby Kraus, take comfort in knowing that she is in the hands of God and you will all be reunited with her someday.

I was one of Marty's hiring supervisors when he came to work for us at the Chandler MVD and I was very sad when he left us for the CDL department. I wasn't surprised though. He was very smart. I used to tease him that he was going to be my boss one day. He would have been a good one too! He loved his Barbie and spoke of how lucky he was to have such a beautiful wife. His faith in God helped me through the loss of my daughter and he often sat with me through my grief. I am sure my Katie has welcomed him with a big hug and has thanked him for being such a wonderful friend to her mother.   Rest in peace my friend. My prayers to your family.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of these 2 wonderful people.  I knew Barbie from working with her for several years and in turn knew her family.  Family....there was nothing more important to her.  I will remember Barbie for her sweetness and innocence.  She was trusting and loving and full of life.  My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.  May their families find some peace knowing that Barbie and Marty surely entered heaven hand in hand to spend eternity in the presence and love of Jesus Christ.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Barbie for eight years. She was an incredible person, always smiling, helpful and very friendly. I truly enjoyed getting to know her and the many conversations we had. My heartfelt condolences go out to their children and families. There are no words to adequately convey the sadness of the passing of two beautiful people - Barbie and Marty Woods.   Barbie and I worked together for years, our desks right next to each other.  We would share stories of our families, the kids, the dogs, and our love for God.  Every morning Barbie would come in with her sweet smile, coffee in hand and place it on her candle-warmer to stay hot.  We would exchange Joyce Meyer CDs and testimony about how a message would strengthen us. She was so full of life.  Barbie had a zest for life; a passion about doing it right, honestly and fairly.  She mentored me on so many levels.  Barbie loved with all her heart and was always there to offer her wisdom and kind words to everyone.  The day Barbie was blessed with the news of the coming of her sweet nephew, Michael, she beamed with delight.  I will never forget her sharing it with me and the story of how she “knew” that mom had a hand in sending him from heaven.  We would talk about Stephanie and Brandon….her abiding and unwavering love…she was so proud of both of you.  Stephanie – You lit her world.  Brandon – She glowed when she talked about your involvement with the youth at church and your love for those silly reptiles.  She loved both of you with all her heart!  To her sister and Poncho….she loved you so much….continue the holidays like she would want…..and for those that shared in Barbie's love for the holidays…..you know what it means to taste her mom's pumpkin rolls…..  This is all incredibly tragic and painful. Both Marty and Barbie are in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and in the presence of the angels.  The world is dimmer with the absence of them here and I'm going to truly miss you my friend!  RIP

Marty was like a son to me, he always called me Mom. Customers thought he was one of my sons, since he acted like it. Which means we fought like it! So yes he will be missed dearly for he was one of a kind! God Bless you Marty and don't start telling God how to run Heaven.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel about Barbie and Marty. I didnt know Marty, but I know both Brandon and Stephanie were very close to him. For Brandon and Stephanie I say, Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about. May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you, and that you will never be alone.

Marty was a very good friend of mine who had a heart of gold! I will forever miss his smile that warmed my heart on a daily basis, Heaven got an angel back and I will miss him greatly.

Marty was a good guy and Friend.  Wish I could have got to know him better other than just at work.  Also Marty took a Beautiful Photo of My Wife and I and our three Dogs that we have hanging on our family room wall. We will always think of him passing by that Photo.

From the first time I met Barbie I knew she was a special lady. She displayed so much love for her family and others.  You will truly be missed here in this place, but heaven now has another of God's beautiful children. God bless you Stephanie and Brandon for what you have lost..

What a lucky person I am to have had the pleasure of knowing Barbie and her family most of my lifeI  But the 10 1/2 yrs that we worked together at Pinal County are the most cherished! What great memories! Barbie had a wonderful sense of humor and oh my..that laugh! Who can ever forget that most contageous laugh! That girl and her coffee...she was always juggling that coffee cup! How many times did she almost break her neck saving her coffee! So many laughs so much fun and countless tears, she was always there when it counted! Such a giving and loving person who gave so much of herself to everyone she knew! Deb, Stephanie and Brandon you are in my prayers! May God strengthen you and give you peace in this journey ahead! barbie & marty were the best i was sad and shocked to hear of their passing my prayers go out to the families and friends.

Barbie was my co-worker and my friend.  Barbie joined our "family" over two years ago.  From the moment we met her, we knew she was someone special. We heard so many stories about her family, Kearney, nephew Michael, Jake, and "little Jimmy" (the name she called her soon-to-be-born grandson).  I loved waiting for her to walk through the door at work.  I would watch her do her "Kramer" entrance.  She would struggle through the door loaded down with her purse, lunch bag, more bags, huge key chain, and her coffee. Once she made it through the door, she would stop, drop all her bags, sigh in exasperation, and roll her eyes.  The look on her face always made me laugh, and that's how we would start the day. Barbie was infamous for her baking, especially her specialty cake.  She could take a simple cake recipe, add her off-the-wall humor, and make a masterpiece that is talked about years later. Her sense of humor was what we looked forward to.  If you knew Barbie, you knew what it was like to laugh so hard that your face hurt. She had a look of innocence, but if you looked closely at her eyes, you saw that twinkle of mischief. Barbie and Marty are very loved and will be greatly missed. I can only imagine what those two are up to now.  God and the angels are going to gain weight with all of Barbie's cooking and baking. Marty is probably redoing the landscape and taking pictures of it. Hey Marty, send us a picture of a sunset from heaven as a signal that you two are there watching over us all.  xo xo

Marty was my friend,  We worked together in the same location for almost 2 years. He had a dream to come work with me. I helped as much as I could with encouragement and reality checks when he would become discouraged. But he always wanted to do bigger and better things. I knew he loved Barbie and the kids and he adored his grandson with all his heart. He had a nick name for us "the bookends" he never let anything get him down. He loved to photograph nature and military planes. He had a lost moment when be couldn't get into the marines, but he loved them., even when I would tease him that the navy was better. I miss my friend and I will always remember his last words to me. "Be safe out there brother, talk with you later." My friend, Lord bless you and your family. This world is less bright with your and Barbie light taken home early.

I had the pleasure of working with Barbie the past 2 1/2 years and getting to know the wonderful person she was.  She brought laughter and love wherever she went and touched the lives of everyone in our work family.  Her loss is deeply felt and our love and prayers go out to her family. Rest in peace my friend.

Marty was a friend and coworker. It was  a privilege to know him. We shared many laughs and had more in common than we initially realized. My heart goes out to his and Barbie's family. Simply put, I miss him.

My condolences goes out to the family as my heart is broken too by the loss. I had the honor to work with Marty at the Chandler MVD and he would sit behind me and observe. When I trained him I knew he was pretty smart cookie! I enjoyed his humor, his stories and love hearing about his love for his family. He spoke about the love him and Barbie had, he spoke about the kids and Stephanie's wedding. He spoke about the grand thanksgiving feasts and the renaissance festival going all out. He talked about his passion for camera and his stories at ritz. I could just go on and on, but Marty always made it fun! I am going to miss calling him as he was my go to guy for CDL :) now the other way around. I'm gonna miss requesting life from him on candy crush and in all seriousness wish I could grant his request and pretend this never happened. I believe they are with The Lord. Marty also shared his religion with me too. We all have lost two great people, but one day we will see each other again. I miss you friend.

So very sad at the loss of my friend and co-worker Marty. I miss seeing him walk down the line at the office and having conversations with him at break time~most of which were about his family and his pursuit of greater things. He was a character to say the least :). He was a good guy and I'm so glad that I got to know him and that we became friends. He has left an empty spot in our hearts and will be missed...

We were so blessed to have had them in our lives and as hard as it is to say goodbye so soon, we know they are sharing joy and love with Bill and Shirley.

We loved watching Barbie and Debbi grow up in Kearny...Barbie and our daughter, Tracey (Farley) Feldhake were best friends and it was always great fun watching them play together. Their friendship continued throughout their years from little babies until now in their adult hood. Barbie, Debbi, Mom Shirley and Dad Bill were very special to us and our family.  It is so hard to accept the tragedy that took Barbie and Marty and we know their families are stunned by the loss.  We pray they feel the caring of friends and the comfort and strength our Lord can provide at this time.  To Stephanie, Brandon, Debbi grandchildren and all family and friends...You will see her again. We have that Great and glorious Hope through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Barbie will be greatly missed...she was and is a sweet beautiful young lady.

This is a great loss to all who knew them. Growing up in Kearny they were in school with my sons. Barbie had a lot of her moms sense of humor and was liked by all.Fly High you two and save a spot for us.

I knew Barbiie when she was married to my nephew Steve Harmon. She was always such a nice person and is still remembered fondly by Steve's family. May she and her husband rest in peace. Praying for daughter Stephanie for strength to get through this horrible ordeal and Brandon for a complete recovery. Praying for both family members that God helps them get through this loss.

It had been a few years since I'd seen Barbie. She was working at the Florence court house the last time I seen her. Always so sweet, and a beautiful lady you were.
 Barbie and Marty, you were called home by Jesus, your Lord and Savior and now you are in Heaven with your loved ones that went on before you. You will both be greatly missed. Stephanie and Brandon as well as Marty's mother are in my prayers for comfort and Peace that surpasses all understanding.
