Barry Keith Hines

Barry Keith Hines of Mesa, AZ passed away August 29, 2016 at the age of 59. He was born September 6, 1956 in Atlanta, GA to the late Dewey Runner Hines and Shirley Ann [Biggs] Hines. Barry was married to Linda Ann Zills on April 9, 1977 in Goldsboro, NC and spent the next 39 years together and raised two sons, Brad and Russ. Barry joined the United States Air Force in April 1977. During his military career, he graduated from the Community College of the Air Force with an Associate’s degree in Electronics. His career took him to Korea, England and various states within the United States. He served his country faithfully until retiring to Mesa, Arizona in 1997. Barry took employment at Intel in Chandler, Arizona and worked there until 2015. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, always participated in military groups that were involved in services for veterans, as well as placing flags at the National Cemetery. He loved hunting, fishing and sharing the National Parks with his family. Barry had a strong belief in his faith, and was brother and friend to everyone. What brought him the most enjoyment was spending time with his loving family. Barry is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Hines; sons, Brad Hines and Russ (Raquel) Hines; grandchildren, Andrew, Maxum and Delaney; his mother Shirley Ann Hines; brother Mark (Valerie) Hines as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 with a visitation one hour prior at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa AZ 85206. Interment to follow at 1:00pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barry’s name to the Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
