

Beatrice C. Gallegos was born on October 30, 1918 in Tinnie, New Mexico to Juan and Maria Chavez. Beatrice had nine brothers and sisters, Epifania, Domingo, Greggerio, Isidro, Mary, Crusita, Nicolasita, Inez, and Reyes. Beatrice was the third oldest in the family. She spent her childhood with her brothers and sisters and helped her family by caring for her younger siblings. Beatrice also attended school in New Mexico and completed her education through the eighth grade.
Beatrice Married Frank R. Gallegos on October 12, 1936. Epifania, Beatrice’s oldest sister was married to Frank’s older brother Benjamin and they meet while on a visit. Beatrice took care of their home and soon their daughter Margaret. They spent their first years together in New Mexico but moved to Morenci, Arizona in 1952 and then retired to Safford, Arizona in 1968.
Beatrice enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, traveling and was a very active member of her church. She attended mass daily and helped do crafts for the Cinco de Mayo fiesta every year for the church. She was a member of The Messengers of Mary and belonged to the Beneficio Propio club.
Beatrice enjoyed the outdoors. She would always be found outside making sure that her grass, trees, plants and flowers had plenty of water and love. But everyone that knew Beatrice knew that she loved spending time with her family and friends sitting around the table with a cup of coffee and good conversation.
Beatrice’s husband passed away in 1991 and a few years later she relocated to the Phoenix area to be closer to her family. Beatrice was able to see her family grow, and spend time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beatrice leaves behind a daughter Margaret Trujillo, four Grandchildren Mary Bernice Berini, Michael Trujillo, Christina Robles, Armando Trujillo and six great-grandchildren Jeremy Berini, Matthew Berini, Anthony Berini, Margaret Grace Robles, Jacob Robles and Logan Bilinski-Trujillo. Beatrice will be remembered as a good daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Beatrice was devoted to her family and lived a long full life. Beatrice will be greatly missed by her family and friends
