Bertha Jean Ferguson Wolfe, age 94, our cherished Mother, passed away peacefully in Mesa, Arizona on November 30, 2018. Jeanie, was born on December 7, 1923, in Choctaw, Oklahoma. She lived a long full life and was a beautiful Christian example. She graduated High School when she was sixteen and attended the University of Oklahoma for a year and a half. On her 18th birthday Pearl Harbor was attacked, and she married Howard C. Ferguson on February 26, 1942 in Oklahoma City before he left for boot camp and the war. Howard passed after a long illness in 1990 and she retired from the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she worked for 33 years as Business Manager of the Radiology Department. Jeanie married Thomas M. Wolfe on April 21, 1992 in Dallas, TX. Tom passed on March 31, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM.
In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, one brother, one grandson, three great grand-children and one great great-grandchild who all welcomed her into Heaven.
She is survived by her baby sister, Martha West Hill and two brothers, John Kasbaum and Hank Kasbaum. Jeanie was also survived by and blessed with two daughters, Donna J. Lusk and her husband David of Sherman, TX and Marilyn S. McAlister of Mesa, AZ, six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren.
There will be separate memorial services in Arizona and Oklahoma. The family will have a reception at Mariposa Gardens on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the Hospitality Room at 5 PM.
