Beverly Ann Peterson Langston (86) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday September 14th. She was born June 27th, 1940, in Oakes, North Dakota to Ernest Peterson and Blanche Jackson Peterson. Bev was raised on a farm and was given the chore of gathering the eggs, despite her fear of chickens. Her mother passed away when she was 5 years old. When her dad married Angie, they sold the farm and moved to Bristol, South Dakota. There they purchased a local movie theatre – a family business where all the kids worked. From Bristol they moved to Denver Colorado. It was in Denver that Bev met Gordon Langston. They fell in love, married and had a very active life together living in Colorado and spending time in Hawaii, Alaska and Wyoming before moving to Mesa, Arizona when he retired. Following Gordon’s passing, she was blessed to meet the love of her life Ward Lucas. They married on September 5, 2015, and lived happily together, traveling and enthusiastically rooting for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Cardinals until Ward’s unexpected passing on May 31, 2026.
