Billie Jean Sanders, known to her friends and family as Nana, passed away March 16, 2016, due primarily to the simple passing of the years. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ann Sanders, her son, Gary Edward Sanders, and her brother Donald Howard; together with her grandchildren Jenna, Ryan and Kayla, great-granddaughter Brooke, and assorted in-laws. Billie was preceded in death by her husband Bill. Their home in Tempe served as a gathering place for their kids’ friends throughout their high school and college years, and her grandchildren enjoy lovely memories of holiday feasts and week-end cookouts. She will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial Service Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Road, Mesa, Arizona.
