Billy Ray Roberts Jr.

Billy was born on November 10, 1962, in Panama City, Florida, to Wylene and Bill Ray Roberts, Sr.

Billy graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School and went on to build a successful 43-year career as an HVAC professional. In 1994, he relocated from Florida to Arizona, where he continued his work and built a life centered around family and dedication to his craft.

On September 25, 2004, Billy married the love of his life, Julie Ann. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. Known for his hardworking nature and easygoing spirit, Billy will be remembered for his kindness, reliability, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. In his leisure time, he enjoyed riding his quad and playing darts, simple pleasures that brought him happiness.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Julie Ann Roberts; his mother, Wylene Roberts; stepfather, John Wiechmann; daughter, Megan Roberts(Kyle Scott) and children Ronin Roberts, Audie Mary Scott; daughter, Rachael Yots and children Ronan Yots, Pearce Yots, Willow Yots; sister, Tammy (Barry) Ebertart; nephew, Hayden (Mya) Bruce; niece Nichaley Mangan (Ryan) Mangan, and their daughter, Sunday Rose Mounts.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Judith Ray; brothers-in-law, Joel (July) Ray, Dwayne (Bridget) Ray; and nieces Rachel Ray, Hannah Ray, Haley Pelzel, Lauryn Pelzel, and Caitlin Ray.

Billy’s legacy lives on in the family he loved deeply and the many lives he touched throughout his years. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mariposa Gardens at 11am, 6747 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206, on May 8, 2026.
