Blanche Marie Chalus, born January 24, 1921 in New York City, New York to Joseph and Bertha [Podhorova] Sanda, passed away on June 26, 2011 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 90. Blanche enjoyed painting landscapes & floral oil paintings, working in the garden, playing bingo and just spending time with her family and friends. Blanche is survived by her son Gary A. Chalus; her daughter-in-law, Geraldine Chalus; three grandchildren: Denise, Maryanne & Vicki as well as five great grandchildren: Maci (11), Trenton (10), Ryan (9), Marissa (8) & Kaden (5). She is also survived by her brother Joseph Sanda and his wife Evelyn, and by their two childred Susan Sanborn and Joseph Sanda, Jr. and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 60 years, Anton Chalus and her son Robert J. Chalus. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29 from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm with a funeral at 3:30pm at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 East Broadway Rd in Mesa.
