Carmen Hafner was born April 29, 1927 in Bisbee, AZ and passed away July 10, 2015 after a brief illness. She is survived by husband of 64 years, Dan, and only child David. She came to Phoenix in 1945 with a childhood friend Armida to work at the old Valley National Bank. Carmen later came to be a medical claims manager for ABPA and was very respected in her field. She was a devout Catholic and supporter of St. Gregory's Church and Bourgade H.S. and a friend to all, helping many in their career paths. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and singing as well as the beauty of nature, especially up at the family cabin on Thumb Butte overlooking Prescott. She was predeceased by her only sister Irene and countless other friends and family over the many years and their relatives now mourn her loss. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's in Phoenix on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. with luncheon reception to follow after a private burial. Many thanks to Nathalie, Frank & Faithy who helped enormously in the final days. Donations made to the Friendly House, 113 W. Sherman, Phoenix, AZ 85004, would be greatly appreciated. Rest easy old friend, your work is now finished on this Earth.
