Paul and Family, We are so saddened by your loss of Carol- a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  It was always an adventure sharing time with Carol. Mr. Ochocki and family,
You were great neighbors! I remember fondly swimming at your house (since we didn't have a pool) and then learning from Mrs. Ochocki how to teach infants to swim! So many happy memories! You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Dear Ochocki Family,
My heart is breaking over your loss.  When I received this sad news, I pulled out my scrapbooks and cried happy tears as I looked at worn photos of my childhood in which the Ochocki family was such a huge part of.  You were my second family, providing a home where the doors were never locked and I knew I was always welcome.  Your house represented freedom for all of us kids in the neighborhood because Carol valued creative expression, especially in children.  We were allowed to build forts with blankets covering all her furniture, we had free reign in the kitchen experimenting with baking and helping ourselves to whatever snacks we found in the fridge – a practice that must have cost Paul a fortune!  Carol taught me to swim, so I spent entire summers in your pool and then drying off on the swing set eating pomegranite seeds from your tree.  Carol thought outside the box and encouraged us to try things in new ways.  For instance, she was the first Mom I witnessed using a "time out" method with an egg timer as a means of discipline.  Carol taught me that it was okay if I wasn't "perfect" at something because we only become good at things with lots of practice.  She used to say that I had an "old soul".  Reflecting now, I believe it was more that Carol had a "young soul".  Later in life, when my Mom, Paulette, hired all her best friends to work at the travel agency, Carol was still the one full of optimism and child-like expectation, excitingly planning her next adventure to a new destination.  But, truly, the most meaningful act of love Carol demonstrated to me is the invite to join your family for church.  It meant the world to me as a child, giving me a hope that someday I might also have a family that worshipped together.  God is faithful and provided that joy in my life, something I may not have known was even a possibility without the experience of jumping in the Ochocki station wagon, calling the backward facing seat, of course, and tagging along on Sunday mornings.  I will miss her laugh.  Your family is in my prayers...

Ochocki family, I am so sorry to hear about Carol, she was such a wonderful lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have such wonderful memories of her and your whole family when i was younger, those will always be with me. God Bless.

She was the most adventurous Mom!!! Everything to her was fun. I am sorry for loss and wish you all peace.
