Charlotte was born on a farm in Hayes County Nebraska on November 1st, 1924, where she lived until moving to Maywood, Nebraska in 1932. She attended Grade School and two years of High School in Maywood and then transferred to Curtis, Nebraska for her final two years of High School. She took Normal Training and became a school teacher before going into Banking in Maywood. She married Warren Saum, and with son Ron they resided in Maywood until moving to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1958. She and Warren moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1982 to be closer to their son Ron, who was an engineer for General Motors at the Desert Proving Grounds. Charlotte remained in the banking business, working for United Bank of AZ, and retired in 1989.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her son Ron, her mother Christina, and sister’s Dorothy and Marge. Charlotte’s survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Warren; her grandson Andy, wife Carolyn, two great-granddaughters Kaitlyn and Andrea; and daughter-in-law Sue; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
