Christine Kowalski Kycey

Born on August 3, 1952, Christine was born in Rockville Center, New York. She lived a life marked by compassion, faith, and service to others. Christine was a graduate of the University of Arizona nursing program and went on to serve her country as a Navy nurse lieutenant from 1974 to 1976.

Her deep Catholic faith was central to her life. Christine was a devoted member of Saint Timothy Catholic Church, where she found great joy and strength through her faith community.

Christine is survived by her loving husband, John F. Kycey; her son, Jonathon Kycey; and her siblings Edward Kowalski, Susan Fragoso, and Karen Aufort. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward John Kowalski and Marion Stella Demski; her brothers, Marc Kowalski; and John Kowalski and her beloved son Jason Anton Kycey.

Christine had a warm, thoughtful spirit and enjoyed journaling, quiet moments by the beach, and traveling. One of her favorite memories was vacationing in Saint Barts with her husband, an adventure filled with sunshine and laughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa, AZ 85202.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Timothy Catholic Church, 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd., Mesa, AZ 85202.

Christine’s life was a gift to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, enduring faith, and the deep love she gave so freely.
